Railroad Safety Against flooding

railroad safety against flooding, flood risk management

The Federal Railroad Administration highlights the importance of safety within the railroad industry. Their mission focuses on efficiency, reliability, and protection of passengers, cargo, and railways.

Flood Risk America & Flood Risk Canada is proposing a solution to all Railroad companies to decrease the amount of derailments, potential losses, and injury. What if we were to tell you that we could not only help you maintain a safe and efficient transportation system, but we could potentially save you millions of dollars? With our extensive flood prevention and mitigation products, new services, and detailed flood risk assessments, we can positively change the preventable fatalities, derailments, and outward cost of the rail industry.

To prove our theories related to cost analysis, we asked a credible source within the United States insurance industry to give us an estimate on how much Flood insurance can potentially cost. The answer we received was appalling. When a track is within a flood zone, the deductible can be up to $5,000,000 and the sublimit is lower. When the track is outside of a flood zone, the deductible is $250,000 and your sublimit is much higher. After hearing this information, my partner and I came together and made it our utmost goal to do whatever it takes to not only help our clients achieve their highest amount of safety, but to also save them money in the process.

At Flood Risk America and Flood Risk Canada we are proud to say that we honor both our clients and their investments. We work diligently to protect and prevent losses, while creating a trustworthy and sustainable relationship. We look forward to becoming your solution.

The alternatives weren’t much better: makeshift plywood boards, improvised plastic sheeting, or early-generation barriers that lacked the engineering, materials, and sealing technology that define the category today. The appeal of modern portable […]

Trusted Industrial Flood Barriers for Florida’s Hydro Power Facilities

Flood protection for the industrial and energy sector is a fundamentally different challenge – one that can’t simply use sandbags or generic products. Power facilities don’t get to close early […]

TigerDam vs. FRA Flood Panel: An Honest Comparison

When commercial property owners start researching flood barriers, two types of products tend to come up most frequently: water-filled tube barriers (TigerDam being the best-known brand) and modular flood panel systems (like the FRA Flood Panel). Both are legitimate flood protection solutions. They just solve different problems – and understanding the difference matters before you spend money on a system that isn’t right for your property.
