Flood Protection Company’s Letter to the Victims of Parkland School Shooting.

Flood Risk America remembers the victims

“Our hearts are full for each and every one of you.

— The Team at Flood Risk America

Across the country we celebrate February 14th as a day of love, instead you remember the opposite of love, you witnessed it as a day of fear and hate. As much as you may not realize, you are all heroes to this country. You have brought a different perspective to the hearts of many Americans.

Some people were right beside your parents, friends, wives, husbands, boyfriends, and girlfriends as they heard this terrifying and horrific news. They too felt a part of what you endured. You are loved, not only by your closest support, but also by millions who may never have met you.

We cannot change what happened that day, but you do have the ability to change how you want to live this day forward. Recognize the emotions that you are facing right now and understand that this fear does not have to define your life, but can help to guide your path moving forward. Seek support from each other and everyone around you, and most importantly, in the words of Gandhi, “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” When your heart has had enough time to heal, allow the love that you have inside of you to fill each classroom at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School again.

We write this letter to you as our own type of connection. The lives we have seen lost occurred not from a human, but from acts of Mother Nature. The devastation and tragedy may be different, but becoming the change we wish to see can be the same.

How to Flood Proof Doors: The Complete Guide for Commercial and Residential Properties

The most common question property owners ask after a flood event is some version of: “How did the water get in?” And the most common answer is: the doors, because buildings aren’t often designed with flood proof doors. Standard commercial and residential doors – even well-maintained, well-sealed ones – are not designed to hold back floodwater. They’re designed to keep out drafts, insects, and intruders. […]

Proven Flood Wall Solutions for Homes and Businesses

When people hear “flood wall,” they tend to picture a massive concrete structure – the kind built by the Army Corps of Engineers to protect entire neighborhoods.
